Refurbished products

Refurbished products sold on Joom are products sold by third-party sellers which have been restored to working condition by the seller or a third-party specialist. According to the seller, the refurbished product has undergone necessary inspection, cleaning process or repairs or replacement of defective parts to ensure functionality. It may come in its original packaging or in alternative packaging.

According to the seller, the products will be functional and in one of the following conditions: Premium, Excellent, Good and Fair. The below refer to electronic products, ie. smart phones and consoles. Further details can be found in the product description of the specific product or product packaging.

Premium refurbished

Cosmetic condition: Excellent

  • Screen: in perfect condition
  • Body: No external signs of use

Functional condition: Excellent

  • Battery: original battery.
  • Accessories: Without original charger or cable. More details are provided in product description.

Excellent refurbished

Cosmetic condition: Excellent

  • Screen: No image defects, light scratches or scuffs on display
  • Body: moderate external signs of use (scratches, dents, and more). There might be light scratches or scuffs or minor scratches on components like the camera, charging port or speakers

Functional condition: Excellent

  • Battery: >85% of original battery life
  • Accessories: Generic or original accessories and packaging provided. More details are provided in product description.

Good refurbished

Cosmetic condition: Good

  • Screen: Original screen, slight signs of use
  • Body: Light external signs of use. Original Back cover, 80% new.

Functional condition: Good. The product has not been disassembled for inspection, has passed QC inspection, and has been restored to factory settings.

  • Battery: >85% of original battery life/original battery
  • Accessories: Shipped with the original box, no additional equipment or accessories provided. More details are provided in product description.

Fair refurbished

Cosmetic condition: Acceptable

  • Screen: natural signs of use, a few scratches, bumps or paint peeling, screen display slightly aged
  • Body: visible signs of use, a few scratches, bumps or paint peeling

Functional condition: Good

  • Battery: >80% of original battery life
  • Accessories: More details are provided in product description.

Legal guarantee

For refurbished products (second-hand products), the legal guarantee is 1 year from the date of delivery. This means that for a certain period of time (12 months from the moment you received the product), you have the right to request from the seller as the party to the purchase contract with you the following remedies, if the product has a defect not directly mentioned in the product description or does not match the description: to repair the product, replace the product, reduce the price or cancel the contract and get the reimbursement of the price paid for the product in full.

Refurbished products are clearly marked as "Refurbished" on the product page. Since refurbished products are second-hand goods, usual signs of use, which can be expected due to the used quality of the goods, do not constitute a defect. For such usual signs of use or properties of the goods which were already evident from the description of the item, no warranty rights exist.

In addition, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract with the seller for the purchase of product within 14 days without giving any reason. Please find all the conditions to this right in section 20 of the Terms of Use.

Joom quality guarantee

In addition to your statutory consumer rights and legal guarantees that you can always exercise against the third-party seller who sold you the product, the Joom voluntary quality guarantee is provided to you by Joom. Joom’s support team will review your claims related to the quality of products ordered on the Site that are made within 30 calendar days from the day when the relevant product has been received by you. In case the 30-day term is expired, or you do not agree with the decision of Joom, you shall contact the seller from whom you ordered the product. In some cases, you may be requested to provide additional evidence (such as a photo or a video of the product claimed to be defective) in order to ensure that you are entitled to a refund or other kinds of compensation by the seller or by Joom (in case any Joom’s compensation is offered to you additionally to those that are provided by law and which shall be ensured by the seller).
